Building your Data Collection Form
EzyOB allows you to build a data collection form for your online booking calendar using 5 types of input fields:
- Email Address
- Single Line Textbox
- Multi Line Textbox
- Single Select Options
- Multi Select Options
To modify your input fields go to SETTINGS at the top, then click the gear icon on the right.
Next, tick the Page Text & Input Form checkbox, then click the checkout link or scroll down to the checkout section.
Your input form will by displayed consisting of the 5 field types.
Inputs can be deleted, re-ordered, edited, or cloned using the buttons to the left …
The Test Validation button check if mandatory fields are filled in, and display the appropriate error message, as your customer would see it on the live online booking calendar.
To add a new input click the ADD INPUT FIELD button on the top-right.
The new field popup will appear like so …
Type: One of the 5 types of input field you can create
Prompt Text: The text displayed on the input form. This is required
Description: Optional text you can display in addition to prompt text
Mandatory: Whether or not the user is forced to make a selection or entry
Mandatory Text: The text displayed if the mandatory field is omitted (e.g. “this field is required”)
Options: The list of options to choose from for single and multi option fields
Viewing Input Form Results
- Customer email – You can include the input form results that the customer entered in the email that they receive on booking
- Your booking alert email – The email which you receive each time a customer makes a booking
- Purchases screen – Click the eye icon next to the purchase line to view input form results
- Roster screen – Click on a green slot (indicating it has a booking), then click the view details link to view input form results
