What’s a roster?
A roster is a template of bookable slots.
Each resource in EzyOB is assigned a roster which controls bookable slots on the reservation calendar.
Rosters are week based. You can create a simple one week roster or a multi-week roster for a resource.
Rosters loops around indefinitely and back to week one, unless overridden manually.
Any future week is either locked to the roster, or unlocked. The lock icon on the top left of the page indicates whether a week is locked or unlocked …
A green unlocked padlock indicates that one or more bookings have been taken for that week, or that the week was unlocked manually. The roster no longer applies to that week.
A red padlock indicates that no bookings have been made for that week – slots will come from the roster.
When a week receives it’s first booking it changes from locked to unlocked. A “snapshot” of the roster slots is taken and will apply to that week from that point forward, regardless of roster changes.
Changes to the roster do not affect unlocked weeks.
Weeks can be locked and unlocked manually by clicking the lock icon shown in the screenshot above.
Creating a custom schedule for a data range
If you need to modify your booking schedule for a specific date range (e.g. staff away, special events) simply unlock the week manually (by clicking on the lock icon) and make changes to that week as needed.

This is only displayed for locked weeks – unlocked weeks are not linked to the roster and therefore do not apply.
A week consists of one or more slots. Slots have a start time and duration, and may overlap.
A slot is linked to one or more bookable services.
Each slot can have multiple prices, each of which consumes one or more places (see next section).
Each slot has a “Max Places” property. This is a number that determines how many bookings can be made before a slot is no longer bookable.
If set to 10, then after 10 bookings the slot is no longer available for booking.
Note that a booking can consume more than one “place” in the slot, depending on how price options are setup.
- Click the word FILTER in the roster screen to automatically adjust the start/end times displayed on the screen
- Slots can be dragged and dropped onto different days/times. To move a slot to a different week click on the slot then click Edit
